Mainframe Assembler Developer

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Assembler Developer with strong expertise in IBM Assembler programming and mainframe environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting mainframe applications while ensuring performance, reliability, and adherence to coding standards.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, and test application programs using IBM Assembler language.
- Work through the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including analysis, development, testing, and maintenance.
- Develop and support applications in mainframe environments, including z/OS operating systems.
- Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of mainframe applications.
- Analyze and resolve application issues to ensure system stability and efficiency.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for assembler programs, including design details and usage guidelines.
- Provide technical support and ensure compliance with development standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with system architects, analysts, and technical teams to translate business requirements into efficient low-level solutions.
- Stay current with evolving mainframe technologies and assembler programming practices.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of experience in Mainframe Assembler development.
- Strong hands-on experience with IBM Assembler language.
- Experience working with z/OS mainframe operating systems.
- Strong knowledge of mainframe application development and debugging.
- Understanding of SDLC processes and enterprise software development practices.
- Ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.
