We are seeking a qualified and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our network of education professionals for a full-time, school-based assignment in Arkansas. In this role, you'll provide speech and language services to students with a variety of communication needs, helping them achieve academic, social, and functional success. You'll work as part of a collaborative special education team with access to resources, mentorship opportunities, and dedicated support from Career Links. About the Role As a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist, you will evaluate, diagnose, and provide intervention services for students with speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication disorders. You will collaborate closely with educators, families, and related service providers to support student achievement and compliance with special education regulations. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations and re-evaluations in accordance with IDEA, Arkansas Department of Education requirements, and district policies Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs Provide direct therapy and consultative services to students with speech and language impairments Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, Medicaid billing documentation (if applicable), and service logs Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and related service providers to support student goals Attend and participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and professional development activities Utilize evidence-based therapeutic strategies and technologies, including Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems Support inclusive educational practices and adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs Provide training and consultation to classroom staff and families regarding communication strategies and accommodations Monitor student progress and adjust interventions based on data and educational outcomes Qualifications Required Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program Current Arkansas Speech-Language Pathologist License issued by the Arkansas Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start date Eligibility for employment within Arkansas public schools Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation, if travel between school sites is required Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA Previous experience working in public schools or educational settings Experience participating in the IEP process Familiarity with Medicaid billing requirements and compliance procedures Experience with AAC devices and assistive communication technology Cultural competency and experience working with diverse student populations Clinical Fellows Welcome Clinical Fellows (CF-SLPs) are encouraged to apply.
