Position Summary Information Job Description Summary The Web Developer will plan, develop and manage web technology asit relates to Chapman’s marketing presence online and throughdigital communication channels. Responsibilities include the codingand technical maintenance of internal and external facing digitalmarketing properties and require an understanding of agilemethodology, analytic tracking integration, CMS development,marketing automation tools, web accessibility and modern codingbest practices. This position works closely with the digitalmarketing team to ensure accuracy and consistency across universitywebsites. This position is in person in Orange, CA and the candidate will beexpected to be in the office 5 days a week. Salary Range: $80-95K Responsibilities Work in conjunction with the SMC web team (UX designers anddigital marketing specialists) in developing and maintainingvarious websites, applications and marketing automation tools. Writing quality, robust code to ensure Chapman’s websites haveconsistent uptime, reasonable load speeds and are compliant withaccessibility and other web standards. Develop tools and templates for Salesforce Marketing Cloud andother marketing systems to ensure the proper usage of the system tomeet Chapman marketing goals, brand guidelines and complianceneeds. Support the maintenance of all our web properties to ensure allbugs are resolved in a timely manner and system updates aremonitors and addressed. Ensuring Chapman’s web presence is at or beyond industrystandards on all devices both technically and in the userexperience. Write thorough documentation related to all software builds andstay vigilant to minimize and remove technical debt. Work with the web team and campus partners to determine projectscope and priorities within the scrum process. Occasionally, takethe lead on projects to ensure all criteria and ideas are mappedout and completed to spec and on time. Keep up with industry standards in terms of software trends andbest practices. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited higher educationinstitution in computer science, computer or business informationsystems or a related field and/or equivalent combination ofeducation and work experience. 3-5 years of experience in web, programming, or relatedfield. Embraces Agile methodology, clears aggravations, troubleshootsand ensures team success. Able to write clean, testable code in one or more of thefollowing languages: Ruby, PHP, and/or JavaScript. Ability to solve problems and use online resources toeffectively to self-teach. Motivated to analyze and improve complex processes and systemsholistically. Ability to think critically about project management and timemanagement. Strong interpersonal skills to work with a diverse group ofindividuals at all university levels. Solid knowledge of digital marketing, content strategy, andpaid media. Strong ability to document technical processes and developmentnotes for others to easily get up to speed. Experienced with WordPress, especially testing. Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Slate marketingautomation tools. Experienced with DevOps: provisioning Linux servers for webapplications and automating deployment. Experience in Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google DataStudio and in social media platforms and their advertising tools(Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Google AdsManager etc.) and UTM tracking. Experience in web accessibility standards/guidelines. Desired Qualifications Experience in higher education marketing. Entrepreneurial, self-starter with tact and diplomacyskills.
