Kid Zone Assistant

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Workdirectly with and supervises large and small groups of children in planned activities throughout a variety of settings, such as: classroom, cafeteria, gym, computer lab, playground and while on field trips. Work with children with a variety of needs. Supervises children during transition, breakfast, lunch and snack. Assists the Kid Zone Instructor in preparing and implementing the daily curriculum. Maintains room environment by setting up, cleaning and storing supplies and equipment.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

18 years of age, high school diploma Training or experience working with children in a group tutorial and supervisory setting. Interpersonal skills that lend themselves to a compatible working relationship with students and other adults in the workplace as determined by the coordinator. Possess basic academic competencies to provide tutorial assistance to the student(s) as needed. See attached job description for a full list of position duties, responsibilities, and qualifications.

SCHEDULE:

25 hours per week AM Shift time: 7am to 9:30am and PM Shift time: 3pm to 5:30pm This position follows the school year calendar, from September to June, with a total of 176 days + field trip days.
