Damar is currently seeking Intensive Autism Technicians to join our highly skilled team for full-time opportunities at our East Chicago (4840 Grasselli St) location. The Intensive Autism Technician is responsible for providing direct services to children diagnosed with Autism, using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. They are also responsible for participating in Behavior Skills Training and assisting during Practical Functional Assessments. The Intensive Autism Technician is responsible for performing a variety of duties, such as, natural environment training, skills-based treatment, data collection, and intensive autism intervention. The Intensive Autism Technician is responsible for providing direct support to individuals diagnosed with Autism who reside at Damar North. Assists the treatment team, including the Intensive Autism Manager, Intensive Autism Supervisor, and Director of Autism Services and other members as designated, in the evaluation of clinical services.

• Completes and updates mandatory training and other licensure related items in a timely manner
• Attends mandatory staff meeting and other meetings as assigned

• Utilizes data collection in relation to driving and tracking outcomes and achieving agency initiatives and goals
• Ensures that the agency meets its quality improvement, evaluation and reporting requirements

• Keep abreast of current treatment technology, literature, practices, and regulations

What you need to be considered:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• ABA therapy experience and/or experience working with children with autism is preferred but not required
• Ability to use an iPad and computer
• Must have or be able to obtain Therapeutic Crises Intervention (TCI) Certification
• Must have or be able to obtain CPR Certification
• Minimum age of 21 per licensure requirements
• Valid Indiana driver's license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar's insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving)
• Be clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal convictions
• Successfully complete a pre-employment physical
• Favorably meet and maintain Damar's background screening
