Assistant Professor, Transplantation Biology and Immunology
$318.35k - $343.18kFred Hutchinson Cancer Center
The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Fred Hutch) and the University of Washington (UW) invite applicants for a lab-based physician-scientist faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. The position will be dual appointed with a primary faculty appointment in the Translational Science and Therapeutics Division (TST) of Fred Hutch and a secondary appointment in the UW Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology. Academic appointments at UW will be commensurate with experience, qualifications and academic rank.
The successful candidate will have expertise in transplant immunology, computational modeling of T cell clonality, and microbiome science and be engaged in laboratory-based research focused on developing novel interventions for graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) and immune reconstitution post-hematopoetic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). Successful NIH K08 or R01 level funding is required. The selected individual will foster an environment of collaboration and productivity in the field of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and bone marrow transplantation therapies for hematological malignancies.
Faculty are expected to perform their primary activities on-site at Fred Hutch. The role does not include an independent laboratory space in which to conduct research but will have the use of an existing laboratory space from a senior faculty member at Fred Hutch.
