Job Description

Long-term contract opportunity in Melbourne, FL for a Principal Electrical Engineer. The Principal Electrical Engineer will primarily support internal customers such as Factory. You will be given hardware and/or software tasks developing product tests for a variety of aerospace and avionics products.

The engineer will work closely with other engineering disciplines, including mechanical and systems engineering, to ensure the electrical design is appropriate for the project/product design approach. This position requires strong experience working with both hardware and software and is an onsite role .

Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday-Friday, 1:00 PM-9:30 PM

Training Schedule: First month will be 1st Shift, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM

Required Skills & Experience

\n

\n
• Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math ( STEM ) discipline with 3-5 years of relevant experience, or 8-9 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
\n
• Hands-on experience with LabVIEW and TestStand
\n
• LabVIEW/TestStand certification or formal training
\n
• Experience working with both hardware and software
\n
• Ability to read and understand electronic schematics
\n
• Experience working with RF (Radio Frequency) devices
\n
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
\n
• Must meet the stated U.S. Person requirement
\n

• Software development experience/proficiency with LabVIEW and/or C#
\n
• Experience with Automated Test Equipment ( ATE ) and manufacturing test stations
\n
• Experience with avionics/aerospace products

• Experience with electronic test equipment, including:

• Digital multimeters (DMM)

• Oscilloscopes
\n
• Network analyzers
\n
• Spectrum analyzers
\n
• Logic analyzers
\n
• Power supplies

• Electronic loads

• Strong communication, documentation, collaboration, and teamwork skills

• Experience supporting manufacturing or production test environments

What You Will Be Doing

\n

\n
• Troubleshoot hardware and software solutions
\n
• Support manufacturing and service test solutions for aerospace/avionics products
\n
• Work closely with mechanical, systems, electrical, and other engineering disciplines
\n
• Reverse engineer existing equipment and document existing designs
\n
• Support automated test software development
\n
• Review and verify automated test procedures that drive software changes required to support operations
\n
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot multi-rack test stations
\n
• Troubleshoot electronic/RF test equipment and associated hardware
\n
• Present project and technical status to peers, internal management, and customers
\n
• Demonstrate excellent time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
\n
• Support technicians, engineering project assistants, and engineering peers as needed
\n
• Demonstrate knowledge of hardware processes, tools, methods, workflows, and best practices
\n
