This full-time opportunity (30 hours per week, 8:30am-2:00pm) centers on providing dedicated 1:1 care to an incoming Kindergarten student placed in an elementary private classroom setting designed for children with severe developmental disabilities.

You will be the student’s primary RN, ensuring safety and well-being throughout the school day. Compassion, attention to detail, and adaptability are keys to success in this role, as you’ll be managing complex medical needs, supporting educational access, and forming meaningful connections within a nurturing environment.

Preferred background and qualifications:

• Valid RN license
• School nursing experience or strong desire to work in a school
• Experience with or knowledge of:
  • Bainbridge-Ropers syndrome
  • Chronic lung disease
  • Mild heart conditions
  • Scoliosis
  • Reverse circadian cycles (sleep disorders)
  • G-Tube dependency and feeding procedures
• Collaborative spirit with educators and families
• Outstanding communication and observational skills

Primary responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 nursing support to the assigned Kindergarten student
• Administer medications, manage G-Tube feeds, and monitor vital signs as needed
• Implement individual health care plans and emergency protocols
• Support student engagement in classroom activities while prioritizing health and comfort
• Maintain accurate health records and communicate updates to caregivers and the educational team
