Responsibilities The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, continuously evaluating patient condition and ensuring safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist physicians in the procedure rooms with tasks such as conscious sedation, sterile technique, and other appropriate duties. Provides comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia or sedation, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, and supports patients and families in discharge preparation. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing Active RN license in the state BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment Can prioritize and organize workload to meet patient and unit needs Strong verbal and written communication skills #J-18808-Ljbffr United Surgical Partners International, Inc
