Resident Aide

Job Details Job Location: Bayside Terrace Senior Living LLC – Pinellas Park, FL 33782 Salary Range: $16.00 – $17.00 per hour Job Shift: Any Responsibilities Recognize and respond to residents’ needs, make prompt and accurate judgments regarding resident care. Evaluate sensory limitations of residents and adjust caregiving methods to maximize communication. Observe and assess residents’ physical, psychosocial, and safety needs; communicate a sense of caring, concern, and dignity. Perform routine care in a manner that benefits residents, complies with federal, state, and local regulations, and follows charge nurse, administrator, or supervisory directives. Verify resident identity; promote independence of residents’ decisions. Report changes in resident condition, accidents, incidents, complaints, grievances, and safety concerns to nurse or supervisor promptly. Assist with admitting, transferring, and discharging residents; administer and document medications and pass medications; maintain confidentiality and privacy. Assist residents with daily activities, activities and social programs, meals, room service, showers, laundry, and transport to appointments. Maintain clean work areas, supply room, and equipment; keep radios, phones, and emergency lights operational. Respond to emergency lights and phones, answer telephones in nursing office. Encourage resident participation in activities; assist with room, hallway, and common area maintenance as needed. Check residents every 1–2 hours; escort staff or visitors as appropriate. Attend orientation, ongoing training, and educational classes as required. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or GED equivalency. Experience: One to six months experience working in a nursing home, hospital, home health agency, or other health care facility. Must be able to lift a minimum of forty (40) pounds.
