We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated HVAC Installer / Service Technician who takes pride in quality workmanship, communicates well with customers, and is comfortable working in a performance- and commission-based compensation environment .

This is not a position for someone who simply wants to complete the assigned repair or installation and move on to the next call. We are looking for a hungry, sales-minded HVAC professional who understands that every customer interaction is an opportunity to identify needs, educate the homeowner, present appropriate solutions, and generate additional revenue while maintaining honesty and integrity.

The right candidate will be able and willing to follow our prescribed customer-service and sales process on every call , while never sacrificing workmanship, safety, ethics, or the customer's trust.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, repair, and install residential heating and air conditioning equipment.
• Complete HVAC installations to a high professional standard with strong attention to workmanship, appearance, cleanliness, and detail.
• Follow company installation procedures, service standards, checklists, and quality-control requirements.
• Follow the company's prescribed sales and customer communication process consistently on every customer interaction .
• Thoroughly evaluate HVAC systems and identify legitimate repair, replacement, maintenance, indoor-air-quality, efficiency, and system-upgrade opportunities.
• Clearly explain system conditions, recommendations, and available options to homeowners.
• Present repair and replacement options professionally and confidently without using dishonest or high-pressure tactics.
• Actively look for appropriate opportunities to increase the value of each service call while putting the customer's needs first.
• Build trust and rapport with customers through professional appearance, communication, honesty, and follow-through.
• Produce accurate estimates, invoices, job notes, photos, equipment information, and other required documentation.
• Protect customers' homes and property and leave each job site clean and professional.
• Properly track company equipment, materials, parts, and supplies.
• Maintain company tools, vehicles, and equipment in good working condition.
• Follow all company safety policies and applicable HVAC codes and installation requirements.
• Work independently while also communicating effectively with dispatch, management, installers, technicians, and sales staff.
• Be dependable and available as scheduled, arrive to appointments on time, and follow jobs through to completion.
• Perform other HVAC-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional HVAC experience.
• Previous HVAC experience must include employment with an established HVAC company having more than 10 employees .
• Demonstrated experience diagnosing, repairing, and/or installing residential HVAC systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with HVAC tools, equipment, electrical systems, refrigeration systems, and installation practices.
• Comfortable working in a commission-based and performance-driven position .
• Strong sales ability or a demonstrated willingness to learn and consistently follow a structured HVAC sales process.
• Excellent customer-service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to explain technical problems to homeowners in clear, understandable language.
• Honest, ethical, and trustworthy.
• Highly reliable and dependable , with a strong work ethic and history of showing up when expected.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to doing the job correctly rather than taking shortcuts.
• Excellent driving record and ability to safely operate company vehicles.
• Reliable personal transportation to and from work.
• Ability to lift and move HVAC equipment, tools, and materials and perform the physical requirements of residential HVAC work.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and manage multiple jobs or assignments.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

A strong candidate will understand that long-term success comes from doing excellent work, communicating clearly, following the company's process, earning the customer's trust, and confidently asking for the sale.

Compensation

This is a commission-based position designed to reward technicians who produce quality work, take excellent care of customers, follow the company's sales process, and generate strong results.
