Embark on a rewarding contract assignment supporting students and staff during a maternity leave from January through April! This full-time opportunity offers the chance to work with K-12 students, providing essential speech-language pathology services in a dynamic educational setting.
In this role, you'll assess and address the diverse communication needs of students, collaborating closely with educators and families to help every student thrive. Your expertise will ensure meaningful progress in speech, language, and communication skills, creating a positive impact across the school community.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
- Current state licensure or eligibility
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working with K-12 students in a school-based setting
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to develop and implement effective IEPs
- Flexibility and problem-solving abilities to navigate changing student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to support student goals
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Provide support and guidance to educational staff as needed
