Inventory / Materials Specialist I

Seeking a detail-oriented Inventory / Materials Specialist I to support inventory control, warehouse operations, materials handling, and shipping activities. The ideal candidate will maintain accurate inventory records, support material movement operations, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Requirement/Must Have

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous forklift or fork truck operating experience.
• Experience in inventory control, materials handling, warehouse operations, or shipping and receiving.
• Experience working with inventory management systems, spreadsheets, or databases.
• Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to workplace safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Experience

• Experience performing cycle counts and inventory reconciliation activities.
• Experience processing inventory transactions including receipts, transfers, shipments, issues, and adjustments.
• Experience supporting warehouse and logistics operations.
• Experience operating material handling equipment in production or warehouse environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records, inventory locations, and material transactions using inventory systems and databases.
• Perform cycle counts, physical inventory audits, and reconciliation activities to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, overages, and variances.
• Process inventory transactions including receipts, transfers, shipments, issues, and adjustments.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Production, Shipping, and Logistics teams to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Accumulate, prepare, and organize raw materials for shipment or sale.
• Safely operate forklifts to move materials and production inventory.
• Support warehouse and materials operations while following safety and quality procedures.
• Assist with reporting, inventory tracking, and documentation activities.
• Communicate effectively with team members and cross-functional departments.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Materials team.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
