Empower students’ educational journeys by supporting learners with visual impairments in a welcoming school community. A committed Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) is needed on a part-time, contract basis for the 2026-2027 school year. Key Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired
• Experience or strong interest in K-12 educational settings
• Familiarity with individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Knowledge of Braille, assistive technology, and adaptive materials
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Willingness to travel between schools throughout the week

In this itinerant position, you'll:

• Provide direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments, partnering with classroom staff and parents
• Develop and adapt instructional materials to meet each student’s unique needs
• Assess visual functioning and monitor student progress
• Support the integration of assistive technology and mobility strategies
• Contribute to multidisciplinary IEP teams and ongoing student evaluations
• Educate staff members on best practices for fostering access and inclusion
