Construction Manager The Woodlands, TX, or Deer Park, TX, United States | req29927 What you will enjoy doing In this role, you will coordinate construction activities across projects to stay aligned with safety goals, budget, schedule, drawings, and specifications while partnering closely with the Project Manager. Support project planning by helping define scope, develop cost estimates, build schedules, review designs, manage bids, and coordinate subcontractors. Review contractor plans, recommend proven construction methods, and ensure all work approaches and documentation meet project requirements. You will manage daily field execution by coordinating subcontractors, tracking progress, removing roadblocks, and keeping work on schedule. Enforce safety and quality standards by addressing risks, correcting unsafe conditions, and ensuring compliance with company policies and expectations. Monitor project performance by managing scope changes, validating contractor work, reviewing financials, and reporting issues. Support quality assurance by helping resolve issues and ensuring proper documentation and closeout processes. Capture lessons learned and feedback after project completion to improve future execution. What makes you great High school diploma required; college degree preferred, more than ten (10+) years of industrial construction experience, including five (5+) years as a Superintendent and at least four (4) years leading projects. Relevant certifications such as NACE, API, CWI, or PMP are preferred. You have strong knowledge of construction disciplines with the ability to read, interpret, and verify drawings and as-built documents. Proven leadership, communication, and decision‑making skills when working with internal teams and external partners. You have strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently and take initiative. Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and project scheduling software, including MS Project and/or Primavera P6. Willing and able to travel 25‑50% is required in this role.
