Senior Principal Systems Engineer – EffectorsThe Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SETC) organization is currently hiring a Senior Principal Systems Engineer to join our Tucson, AZ location. You will also lead and perform functional / physical analysis, allocation, and trade studies. You will plan the Systems approach to engineering testing, integration and flight-testing, production, system deployment, and post deployment support across the product lifecycle. The Senior Principal Systems Engineer – Effectors role requires a high level of technical proficiency in all aspects of the systems engineering lifecycle with a focus on test and production test environments.What You Will DoInterface with customers and key suppliersDevelop CONOPSDevelop & Refine System ArchitectureDevelop & Refine System Requirements and lead team developing Subsystem level RequirementsPerform Functional & Physical AnalysesPerform Functional AllocationDevelop and Lead Requirements Verification Strategies and PlansDeveloping Integrated Systems Security SolutionsSystem Level to Subassembly Integration, Verification, and Validation planning and executionSupport System DeploymentSupport ProductionSupport Life-cycle LogisticsCross-functional collaboration and coordinationEstablish and maintain relationships with other Programs, Program Leadership, and the customer communityCoordinate with program leadership on long term strategy and planningReview and support trade studies, down-selects, and other analysesCDRL management, report development, and deliveryDevelop materials for customer meetings (Reviews, Technical Interface Meetings, status meetings, etc.) and brief customer representativesQualifications You Must HaveTypically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 10 years of prior engineering experience.Experience in Systems Engineering, Test Systems and Environments, System Architecture, and/or DesignExperience working on a cross-functional team of Systems Engineers and multidiscipline engineersExperience leading cross-functional teams through developmental gates such as Systems Requirements Review, Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, or Test Readiness ReviewQualifications We PreferPost Graduate degree in in Engineering, Computer Science, Math or PhysicsUnderstanding of Systems Engineering Product Development CycleDetailed experience in one or more of the following domains: embedded software, nuclear survivability, RF signal processing, GNC, RF system integration & test, 6DOF/model developmentPrior work experience giving technical briefs or presentations with strong verbal and written communication skillsInterfacing with customersDeveloping & Refining CONOPS, System Architecture, System Requirement, and Requirements Verification Strategies & PlansPerforming Functional & Physical Analyses and AllocationCreating & Maintaining SpecificationsSubassembly and System Integration & VerificationWhat We OfferOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
