RN ICU Weekend Nights $15,000 Sign-On Bonus Facility: Baylor Scott & White Health Round Rock - Round Rock Medical Center Department: Intensive Care Unit Status: Full Time, 3 x 12's - Weekends only with increase differentials (Saturday and Sunday with alternating weekday) Shift/Schedule: Night Shift, 6:45pm - 7:15am Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurses (RN) play a pivotal role within Baylor Scott & White Round Rock Medical Center. The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurses (RN) at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Round Rock care for both Intensive Care Unit (ICU) patients and Intermediate Care (IMC) patients on this 26-bed mixed acuity unit with 6 dedicated CVICU beds. Typical ratios consist of 1:1 for high acuity patients, 1:2 for general Intensive Care Unit (ICU) patients and 1:3 for Intermediate Care (IMC) patients. Our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) level patients consist of Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) and Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) patients. The ideal Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) would have at least one year of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) experience, two years preferred. Baylor Scott & White Round Rock is also currently in the process of expanding! Expansion areas include the addition of a NICU, and the growth of current departments such as our Medical Surgical Department, Cath Lab, Pharmacy and Laboratory. Essential Functions of the Role Using good judgment and clinical reasoning, conduct thorough assessments following practice standards. Identify patient and family needs, then develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans accordingly. Make adjustments as needed. Creating safe, therapeutic environments for patients, families, and staff. Managing emotional and physical pain to promote recovery and prevent unnecessary suffering. Key Success Factors Comprehensive knowledge of standards and procedures in nursing and patient care. Effective communication skills to articulate thoughts clearly and interact with diverse groups of people. Proficient problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills to provide quality patient care. Flexibility and excellent communication for sharing changes in patient health conditions promptly and efficiently.
