Wound Ostomy & Continence Nurse TDCJ Galveston

Minimum requirements: Current RN license or valid permit to practice professional nursing in Texas. Must possess either one of the following certifications: Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (CWOCN®) or Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse (CWON®), OR two of the following certifications: Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN®), Certified Ostomy Care Nurse (COCN®), or Certified Continence Care Nurse (CCCN®). Job Description To provide, coordinate, and support clinical aspects of care for patients with wound, ostomy, and continence (WOC) care needs. Critically analyze the effectiveness of patient care systems and participate in interdisciplinary action to maximize the quality, cost, and effectiveness of patient care. Serve as expert WOC clinical resource on a 24/7 basis.
