Location: Remote
Duration: 6 month
Purpose: Data Streaming platform Engineer
Value Proposition/Selling Points (Market place advantages): Mitigating capacity for Confluent Kafka as Kafka resource has moved on to a Manager role
Hours and Training: Hours: 8-5 Central Daylight Time / Central Time Contract Duration: 6 months
Position Overview:
Daily Responsibilities/Job Description: The Data Streaming platform Engineer is responsible for maintaining and supporting Data streaming platform (eg: kafka) on a Kubernetes platform. Responsible for providing best practices, design and code reviews/guidance. Responsible for establishing the operational readiness and support processes for the data streaming platform
Skills Overview:
Qualifications/years of experience: 5-7
Must Haves: Experience with Data streaming tools – eg: Kafka. Experience with Kubernetes Experience with Ansible Experience with setting up monitoring Experience with GitHub Knowledgeable CI/CD pipeline concepts
Technology Requirements: Data streaming tools, Kubernetes
Additional Requirements: Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) concepts Experience working in environment with regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA, PCI, etc.) Previous experience in PBM / health care industry
Success/Performance Metrics: Leadership, Problem-solving, comfortable with ambiguity, self-starter, excellent communication skills, listening, drives for results, overcomes obstacles.
