As a Value Stream Production Leader at FlexScreen/RiteScreen in Fargo, ND, you’ll guide a hands-on team to deliver safely, on time, and with exceptional quality—while relentlessly eliminating waste.

What Your Day Looks Like

Drive Lean and Continuous Improvement

• Create and sustain a culture of continuous improvement within your value stream.
• Lead kaizen activities; teach Lean tools, standard work, and practical problem-solving.
• Spot waste, raise profitability, and streamline processes.
• Use structured root-cause analysis to hit production targets.

Run the Floor

• Plan and flex daily schedules and staffing to meet demand.
• Own KPIs—productivity, quality, safety, delivery—turning data into corrective actions.
• Walk the Gemba and keep visual boards current, clear, and actionable.
• Ensure every team member is trained in standard work, quality checks, and safe practices.

Build a High-Performing Team

• Coach, develop, and hold the team accountable with clear expectations and frequent feedback.
• Delegate, rotate tasks, and cultivate a resilient, cross-trained workforce.
• Partner with HR and site leadership to address performance gaps and celebrate top performers.

Timekeeping and Labor Operations

• Review, code, and approve timecards in ADP to meet weekly payroll deadlines; resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain timekeeping compliance, manage PTO approvals, and balance staffing.
• Communicate hourly staffing needs to HR/recruiting; track attendance and headcount for productive shifts.

Safety Leadership

• Champion a safety-first culture where every task is executed safely.
• Conduct/oversee safety training and audits and rigorously enforce safety standards.

Communication and Visibility

• Present performance metrics to internal and external stakeholders using Excel and PowerPoint.
• Host plant tours and support customer and supplier visits as needed.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s in Business, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field; or 3–5 years of proven manufacturing leadership.
• Hands-on Lean background with strong problem-solving and quality improvement skills.
• Analytical, data-driven mindset; confident with structured problem-solving.
• Project management capability and the ability to motivate and coach teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Outstanding time-management and organization in a fast-paced setting.
• Attention to detail and discretion with sensitive information.
