Lab Assistant - Welding (Part-Time)

Provides assistance to the welding program by maintaining the labs and classrooms for instruction. Preferred Knowledge & Skills N/A Licensing/Certification Requirements Forklift driver’s certificate required or the ability to pass classroom and drivers exam through COM . Job Duties Maintain equipment in labs and classrooms; clean equipment as needed, organize supplies, tools and equipment, clean floors and remove trash. Maintain accurate equipment and inventory accounting records. Set up equipment per adjunct instructor’s requests. Operate forklift. Follow safety policies and procedures. Physical Requirements Positions in this class typically require: stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
