ATC Locums is seeking experienced Trauma/Critical Care PAs or NPs for an urgent locum opportunity in Northern California. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced trauma APP to join a dedicated trauma service, work alongside a trauma surgeon, and provide meaningful continuity of care in a high-acuity setting. Level II Trauma Center with a dedicated trauma service Work directly alongside one trauma surgeon on call Manage a daily trauma census of approximately patients Primarily adult trauma patients, with few to zero pediatric patients No surgical assisting required for this assignment One additional Trauma NP/PA provides daytime coverage Assignment Details Location: Redding, California Setting: Level II Trauma Center Coverage Dates: September 4 6; October 7; October ; October ; October Schedule: PM shifts, 3:00 p.m. 1:00 a.m. Patient Volume: Approximately patients on the Trauma Service daily Call: Support the trauma surgeon on call while monitoring, managing, and discharging trauma service patients EMR: Cerner Care B Support: Day-shift Trauma NP/PA, Trauma Medical Director, Trauma Coordinator, and on-call trauma surgeon Clinical Responsibilities The APP will evaluate and manage trauma patients, develop treatment plans, order diagnostic studies, perform procedures, facilitate admissions and referrals, provide ongoing patient management, and recognize and respond to urgent clinical needs. Procedures may include laceration repair, wound care, fracture/dislocation reduction, I&D, line placement, chest tube procedures, arterial lines, cervical spine clearance, and more. Requirements PA or NP with Trauma/Critical Care experience NCCPA or ANCC certification Active California license; CA NP furnishing number for NPs CA DEA, ACLS, ATLS, and BLS Currently working at a TJC-accredited hospital Interested?
