Embarcadero Dentistry is seeking a skilled and highly motivated Dental Assistant (DA) for an immediate opening in our well-established, multi-specialty practice located in the Financial District of San Francisco. The role requires experience assisting across various disciplines and offers the chance to work between 32 and 40 hours per week with a dynamic team.

Requirements

• Certified Orthodontic Assistant
• Dexis
• Infection Control License
• Open Dental
• X-ray / Radiography Certification

Skills: Experience assisting dentists across a multi-specialty practice (General Practice, Periodontics, and Orthodontics).
Technical Proficiency: Competency with digital dental technology, including taking Digital X-rays, Intraoral Photos, and Digital Impressions (experience with systems like Dexis, Open Dental, or SoftDent is beneficial).
Communication: Must have excellent communication and people skills for effective patient interaction and team collaboration.
Ethics: Must be committed to upholding the highest standards of sterilization and infection control.

Job Description

Clinical Assistance: Assist the Dentist, Periodontist, and Orthodontist using 4-handed dentistry techniques during treatments.
Patient Care: Prepare patients for treatments or checkups, ensuring their comfort throughout the visit. Provide pre- and post-operative care instructions and oral hygiene education.
Imaging & Impressions: Take Digital X-rays, Intraoral Photos, and capture Digital Impressions.
Sterilization & Setup: Select and set up required instruments, equipment, and materials. Sterilize instruments according to rigorous federal and state regulations.
Administrative Support: Handle necessary administrative tasks, including managing lab cases, monitoring supplies, and scheduling patient appointments.
Records Management: Accurately manage patient records and clinical documentation.

Shift & Schedule

Monday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Weekend Shift: Occasional Saturday shifts (8:00 AM – 2:00 PM) may be required.
