CNC Operator/Machinist - 2nd Shift - Asheville Compensation: Up to $19.00/hr. Shift/Working Hours: 2nd Shift available : 3:00 pm to 1:30 am
About the role: PRIDESTAFF is partnering with a manufacturing company located in Asheville to recruit for a CNC Operator/Machinist . This role is responsible for producing machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, while maintaining quality and safety standards. This role is responsible for producing machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, while maintaining quality and safety standards. What you will do:
- Set up and operate machines such as lathes, mills, grinders, and saws.
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications, and machine materials to drawing specifications.
- Perform in-process inspections, calculating requirements including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry.
- Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines.
- Document actions by completing production and quality logs.
- Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in machining or certification, OR a minimum of 3 years machine operating experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Must be able to walk/stand throughout an eight to ten-hour day and be able to consistently lift 50 lbs.
- Training Provided: Full, hands-on training is provided. Experience is not necessary, as training is provided.
