Job Title: Property Maintenance Technician
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Property Maintenance Technician to join our team. The role involves providing basic maintenance repairs across six low-income housing apartment complexes within Hartford. This position offers flexibility with work hours from Monday to Thursday and an option to extend hours on Friday for a total of 40 hours per week. The technician will be responsible for ensuring that apartments are well-maintained between tenants, contributing to the upkeep and improvement of our growing portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Travel to various apartment complexes within Hartford to perform maintenance tasks.
• Conduct basic repairs such as replacing doorknobs, patching drywall, painting touch-ups, and replacing lightbulbs in appliances.
• Utilize personal hand tools for maintenance work; larger power tools will be provided.
• Ensure all handyman-type work is completed efficiently without requiring a professional license.

Essential Skills

• Experience in building maintenance and facility management.
• Proficiency with electrical maintenance.
• Expertise in hand and power tool usage.
• Ability to perform drywall and sheetrock repairs.
• Knowledge of framing and drywall hanging.
• Minimum one year of property maintenance experience.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Spanish speaking is a plus but not required.

Work Environment

Work will be conducted in vacant apartments and common areas within the complexes. The role requires traveling to different locations each day, with occasional visits to the office in Hartford. Employees are expected to provide their own basic hand tools, while the company supplies larger power tools.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hartford, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
