Progressive Care / Cardiac Stepdown RN

Shift: Days, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
Hours: 48/week
Unit: 44-bed Cardiac Stepdown/Progressive Care unit
EHR: Meditech
Requirements: 2+ years acute care Stepdown experience, AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Ratios: 1:5
Patient Population: POD #1 CABG, cardiovascular surgery, CHF, Afib/RVR, pacemakers, ablations, AICD, EVAR, AAA repair, CEA, thoracotomy, VATS, stents, and chest tubes
Skills: Telemetry strip interpretation, cardiac drips, chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP, Vapotherm, high-flow oxygen, and fast patient turnover
Preferred: Pacer wire removal experience
Float: May float to ICU for Stepdown patients or tasking unless ICU-qualified
Weekends/Holidays: Every other weekend; holiday flexibility required
