Hearthstone Private Home Care pays $25 an hour for one-on-one, private-pay senior care in Bucks County. We're a licensed, non-medical home care agency based in New Hope, and we're building our founding caregiver team carefully. The families we serve expect the very best, and we want the kind of caregiver who expects that of themselves.

This is one-on-one work in a client's home: personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transfers, mobility, medication reminders), companion care (conversation, errands, appointments, a steady presence), and the light housekeeping that comes with it. You'll have a consistent, assigned client roster and a fixed weekly schedule. No floating, no facility churn, no rushed visits.

Independently owned in New Hope, not a franchise. Decisions about your pay, your schedule, and your clients are made here, by the person who answers the phone. Every number in this post is exact, not a range or an "up to," because you should know what the job pays before you apply. Start date is tied to client placement. We'll tell you exactly where we stand. Your first weeks come with a guaranteed minimum of 20 paid hours per week while your first client is placed.

Pay

• $25 per hour, paid weekly by direct deposit.

• Weekend differential: +$2 per hour for all Saturday and Sunday hours.

• Paid holidays at double time: 2x your rate on 11 observed holidays, 1.5x on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.

• Mileage reimbursement at the IRS rate between clients and on client errands.

Time off

• Paid time off granted as a lump sum on your hire date, usable from day one: 40 hours in year one, 80 hours in year two, 120 hours from year three on.

• Paid sick leave, separate from PTO, also granted up front and usable from day one: 40 hours per year. Use it for your own illness, appointments, or a sick family member.

Your future

• 401(k) matching: 100% match on the first 4% you contribute, fully vested from day one.

• A $1,000 anniversary bonus every year you stay.

• Paid training: your hours are paid at your regular rate, and Hearthstone covers the course and certification fees.

Your family

• A $300 monthly childcare stipend if you're raising a child under 13 or caring for a dependent at home, starting day one. No receipts.

Day to day

• An owner who answers the phone. When you call the office, you get someone who knows your name.

• $70 per month, tax-free, to reimburse the required use of your personal smartphone for scheduling and clock-in.

What we need

• At least 1 year of paid caregiving experience (agency, facility, or private-duty).

• A valid driver's license you've held for at least 2 years, a reliable, registered, insured vehicle, and a driving record that meets our transportation policy (details below).

• Willing to complete a TB screening before your first shift.

• Authorized to work in the United States. 21 or older.

Nice to have

• Pennsylvania CNA or HHA certification (you'll skip our training program). CPR/First Aid. Dementia, hospice, or Parkinson's experience.

• A second language.

How we hire

Pennsylvania sets the rules for home care hiring, and we follow them: an in-person interview, two references, a criminal history check (PA State Police, or FBI with a Department of Aging letter if you've lived in PA less than 2 years), and proof of competency before you're assigned to a client, the way Pennsylvania defines it: a current nursing license, a Pennsylvania CNA certificate, or a certified home health aide program gets you there directly; otherwise you complete our training program, paid at your full rate, before your first shift. If you completed competency training at another Pennsylvania agency in the past 12 months, bring the documentation and we can accept it. Hearthstone covers the cost of required screenings once you accept an offer. Because you'll drive clients to appointments and errands, we also pull your PennDOT driving record and ask for proof of auto insurance. To be approved to drive: no DUI in the past 5 years; no reckless driving, license suspension, or three or more moving violations in the past 3 years; and liability coverage of at least $100,000 per person / $300,000 per accident / $50,000 property damage. You'll complete a short transportation safety course, paid, before your first client trip.
