Wholesome.At Jazzboline Restaurant & Bar, hospitality is served with a little magic, a lot of skill, and plenty of personality.As a Host/Hostess, you'll be one of the first people our guests meet and an important part of creating a warm, organized, and memorable dining experience.We're looking for someone who enjoys welcoming people, communicates clearly, stays organized, and can help keep the flow of the restaurant running smoothly from the moment guests arrive.Why Jazzboline?Jazzboline brings together inventive food, vibrant hospitality, and memorable experiences in a setting where flair never has to mean formality.Our Host/Hostess team sets the tone for each visit by greeting guests, managing seating, supporting reservations, and helping ensure every guest feels welcomed and cared for from the start.Great hospitality begins at the door - with a genuine welcome, thoughtful communication, and attention to the details that shape a guest's first impression.We're Looking for Someone Who:Brings strong communication and hospitality skills to every guest interactionCan greet and seat guests warmly and professionallyIs comfortable answering phones and following reservation proceduresCan maintain an organized seating chart and support fair station rotationIs comfortable handling cash and room-charge procedures accuratelyKeeps the host podium, menus, and surrounding work area clean and organizedCan read, speak, and write EnglishIs comfortable working with money and handling guest questionsCan stay attentive and professional while standing and walking throughout the shiftWhat You'll DoAs a Host/Hostess, you'll greet and seat guests while helping ensure a quality dining experience and an organized front-of-house operation.Responsibilities include:Ensure tables are properly set before seating guestsMaintain the seating chart and rotate stations appropriatelyGreet and seat guests and provide menusAnswer the telephone professionally and follow established reservation proceduresFollow accurate cash-handling and room-charge proceduresOrganize and maintain a clean service podiumMaintain an inventory of needed host-stand suppliesEnsure menus are clean and ready before each shiftBecome familiar with hotel facilities, locations, and hours so you can assist guests with questionsPerform other duties as assignedThe Ideal Candidate Is:Friendly, welcoming, and guest-service focusedOrganized and able to manage multiple priorities in a busy restaurant environmentComfortable communicating by phone and in personAble to take reservations accurately and respond to guest questionsComfortable with cash handlingAble to work independently while supporting the broader front-of-house teamPrevious cash-handling experience is preferred; the job description lists one year of cash-handling work experienceScheduleFull -time positions are scheduled 30 or more hours per weekPart-time positions are scheduled fewer than 30 hours per weekScheduled hours and days may vary based on business needsPhysical RequirementsStanding/Mobility: Continuous standing and frequent walking at a fast pace throughout the shiftLifting: Limited lifting up to approximately 30 lbs. when clearing tables or buffets and moving tablesBending: Frequent bending for general cleanliness and related dutiesStairs: Ability to climb approximately three steps as needed during the shiftEnvironment: Position is performed indoorsApply TodayIf you're welcoming, organized, and ready to help create a great first impression for every guest, we'd love to hear from you.
