Travel RN - Operating Room - Pediatric OR

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric OR position requiring 2+ years of acute OR experience, with strong preference for candidates with pediatric surgical and robotic experience. Requirements Active WA State RN license or compact RN license (pending license with proof of application date may be accepted) Current BLS and PALS certifications required; CNOR preferred Minimum 2+ years of acute OR experience required; candidates with exactly 2 years must demonstrate high-level experience Combined adult and pediatric OR experience is acceptable Highly preferred skills include IV starts, scrub experience, robotics (da Vinci XI), high-level neuro, ophthalmology, and dental cases — candidates missing these skills may require manager approval Experience circulating the full range of case types listed is strongly preferred Two professional references from a supervisor or above (Charge Nurse, Manager, Director, or equivalent) required prior to start; one reference may be accepted for initial consideration Responsibilities 10-hour day shifts, 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM, 40 hours per week Pediatric OR setting within a children's hospital Patient population ranges from neonates through 18 years, including adult-sized pediatric patients, with diagnoses spanning trauma (MVA, GSW, shaken baby), neurosurgery (craniotomies, EVDs, shunts), spine (scoliosis repairs, spinal injuries), urology, GYN, orthopedics, oncology, ENT, general surgery, and potentially dental and ophthalmology cases May also care for patients with developmental delays and/or congenital anomalies Floating may include assisting in the PICU with procedures, traveling to the NICU at an adjacent connected facility for cases, and assisting anesthesia with procedures such as intubations in MRI or IR Weekend shifts are uncommon but possible if regular weekend staff are unavailable On-call required: approximately 2 weeknight call shifts (7 PM – 7 AM) and 1 weekend call block (Friday 7 PM – Monday 7 AM) every 6 weeks, with a 30-minute response time EMR: Epic Responsibilities include both scrubbing and circulating a wide variety of pediatric surgical cases Scrubs are provided by the facility Free parking is available on-site First-time travelers are generally not considered unless the candidate has 5+ years of extensive OR and pediatric experience Candidates will undergo a SimpliFi clinical interview followed by a unit-level final review Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts #J-18808-Ljbffr American Traveler
