Job Summary Natural Sciences Biology Department invites applications for a LEO Lecturer I, non‑tenure‑track appointment, beginning August 26, 2026 through December 31, 2026 for the Fall 2026 term. Contractual full‑time rate per term $25,500; term salary dependent on the number of courses taught and course effort percentage, up to 33.33% appointment for the Fall 2026 term. The successful candidate will be comfortable teaching in person for Biology 130L, Introduction to Organismal and Environmental Biology Laboratory, up to 33.33%. Based on performance and enrollment, the lecturer may be appointed for the Winter 2026 term. Responsibilities Teach undergraduate lecture and/or laboratory courses. Develop and provide students with a syllabus and course materials using the online course management system. Evaluate and grade students. Hold regularly scheduled office hours. Handle routine matters related to instruction and proctoring midterm and final exams. Required Qualifications Earned M.Sc. in Biology with a relevant specialization, relevant teaching experience, and evidence of teaching excellence. Will be evaluated based on submitted CV, teaching evaluations, and relevant recommendations. Desired Qualifications Earned Ph.D. in Biology with a relevant specialization, relevant teaching experience, and evidence of teaching excellence.
