Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active IL license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Experience in managing common diagnoses such as CHF, diabetes, end-of-life care, heart failure, and medical patients Ability to monitor telemetry, with support from a dedicated tele monitor Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a Medical-Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience. The nurse will work 12-hour day shifts, providing care for a diverse patient population. The unit accommodates 28 single beds, with the potential to double rooms to 36. Nurse-patient ratios are 1:4-5 during the day and 1:5 at night. A charge nurse is present 24/7 to assist with patient management. Certified nursing assistants or patient care technicians support the nursing staff, depending on staffing and patient census. RNs are expected to monitor telemetry, while a tele monitor is available 24/7 for additional support. We require RNs to work every other weekend and holiday. Floating to a Med-Surg unit and occasionally to ICU for overflow patients is expected. This position does not require RNs to manage ventilators.
