About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical/Surgical Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 Years of Med/Surg Tele Experience, 2 Years of RN Experience, 2 Years of Cerner Experience License: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state/district is required Certifications: NIHSS, BLS & ACLS required Must-Have: BSN is highly desired Description: Fulfills the needs of the patients, families, and community by performing a variety of patient care functions and tasks in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements. Delivers care to patients in a competent, capable, caring, and efficient manner. Applies knowledge of growth and development over the lifespan necessary to provide age-appropriate care. Demonstrates the ability to obtain information and interpret it in terms of the patients' needs. Demonstrates an understanding of the range of treatment needed by patients. Makes initial assessments and determines appropriate nursing needs of assigned patients, as evidenced by appropriate documentation. Performs initial and ongoing assessments on all assigned patients, including a review of systems, as evidenced by appropriate documentation. Completes admission assessments in the time frame established according to policy and procedures.
