Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift: 4x10 hours (10:00 AM - 8:30 PM), weekends may be required. Shift times may vary depending on department needs.

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and/or Emergency Room (ER) to join our team for a 13-week contract position. The qualified candidate will provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients and support a variety of surgical procedures, focusing on both pre-operative and post-operative care.

Responsibilities:

• Performing patient assessments and monitoring vital signs.
• Administering medications and IV therapy as prescribed.
• Coordinating patient care during pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases.
• Responding to medical emergencies and providing immediate care.
• Documenting patient care accurately in the electronic health record system (Epic).
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with a strong background in ICU or ER.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• Active and valid state nursing license.
• Prior charge experience is preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
