Automotive PainterRefinish all assigned vehicles to pre-accident condition according to the written repair-order, effectively diagnose and refinish vehicles thoroughly, safely, and profitably in a manner according insurance partner and OEM industry guidelines/standardsEssential Job DutiesUtilize air sanders, spray guns, sanding blocks, etc. in order to complete quality workManage & control materials cost maximizing usage and inventoryPrepare color tint to match paint color; Mix paint colors, and ensure all formulations, preparations, top coating and curing meet OEM recommended standards for proper application sequence, timing and materials usageFollow all paint manufacturing guidelinesSpray test panels for each vehicle to ensure color matchEnsure that all paint operations are completeAdhere to all regulatory compliance guidelines for hazardous waste disposalMaintain clean, orderly and organized work areaSkill/RequirementsTypically has a minimum of 3-5 years of refinishing experienceMust be at least 18 years of ageMust have a valid drivers licenseComply with all safety requirements, respirator safety, and fitment/usage. Maintain compliance to pass required safety mask fit testFollow all government regulations including, but not limited to, OSHA and EPA standardsAbility to effectively communicate with others, oral and writtenAbility to read and understand basic instructions, written estimates and work ordersMulti-taking; adapts easily to fast-paced environmentPhysical Requirements / Working ConditionsPosition is based in a normal shop environment. Frequent physical activity such as kneeling, bending, squatting, stooping, lifting above shoulders is a part of daily activity as well as repetitive tasks involving hand and arm motion and lifting objects over 50 pounds Working environment consists of: Exposure to fumes, chemicals, dust, along with high levels of noise.
