Under the direction of the Supervisor I in the EEU and working cooperatively with program units, managers/supervisors, Bureau Chiefs, and Branch Chiefs throughout CDSS, the Analyst performs duties in the areas of equity advancement, partner engagement, and program accessibility with an emphasis in consulting on equity strategies and change management in the implementation of the Family Engagement and Empowerment Division's Equity Action Plan (FEAP).

Working Conditions

The CDSS Headquarters is located two blocks from the light rail and public transportation: within walking distance to the State Capitol, parks, restaurants, farmer’s markets and the Golden 1 Arena. Our building has easy access to I-5, Highway 50, and Highway 80.

This position may be eligible for Hybrid work. In-person attendance is required based on the operational needs of the position and in accordance with Executive Order N-22-25 the Statewide Hybrid Telework Policy, Government Code section 14200, and any applicable department telework requirements. The successful candidate must reside in California at the time of appointment. Proof of California residency may be required. Please note: Regular commute is not compensable.

• Experience in curriculum development, training facilitation, and presentation delivery

• Experience providing exceptional customer service with a positive attitude

• Ability to exercise initiative, good judgment, honesty, and make timely decisions while maintaining positive and trusting working relationships

• Ability to plan, organize, communicate, and adapt to changing assignments and priorities, and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines

• Ability to build partnerships by interacting with a wide variety of organizational and program partners

• Strong and effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing

• Knowledge and understanding or willingness and ability to learn CDSS organization, business program areas, technology, and processes

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, Visio, SharePoint, data visualization and survey tools, and Section 508 Accessibility Standards

• Contribute to a cohesive and fun team environment with an emphasis on psychological safety

• Oral and verbal fluency in Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Tagalog, or Korean
