X-Ray Technologist Full-Time Hourly, Lakeland, FL, US Job Summary The X-Ray Technologist performs a variety of radiologic procedures in an outpatient setting while maintaining a high level of customer service and quality patient care. Responsibilities include performing routine X-ray procedures following protocols established by the radiologist and demonstrating compassion to ensure overall patient satisfaction. Job Responsibilities Performs routine X-ray procedures following the protocols established by the radiologist and competently performs procedures with limited supervision. Properly inputs all required patient information into the system including protocol, patient history, referring providers, and any additional information to the radiologist regarding the procedure. Able to burn CDs per Properly identifies patients and demonstrates compassion while maintaining patient confidentiality, and assumes responsibility for patient care, safety, and comfort. Takes responsibility to stock exam rooms with necessary supplies, maintains equipment, and reports any equipment malfunctions to the supervisor or appropriate service provider. Floats to various locations when necessary. Provides customer service; communicates effectively with staff and supervisors in a polite and courteous manner, promotes teamwork by assisting other staff as needed, and supports team improvement through words and actions. Maintains credentials for the position. Qualifications Two or more years in the radiology field is preferred. High school diploma or GED. Completion of an approved course in radiologic technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Current certification (ARRT) and license from the Florida Department of Health. Skills and Physical Requirements Proficient in properly positioning patients and obtaining diagnostic images. Capable of identifying equipment problems. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public. Requires prolonged sitting or standing, frequent bending, stooping, or stretching. Must be able to see and hear clearly, with or without corrective eyewear or assistance. Position may require lifting. #J-18808-Ljbffr
