Boundless Care Inc. is looking for a compassionate, dependable, and experienced Live-In Senior Caregiver to provide personalized in-home care for an 81-year-old female client in San Jose, CA.
Assignment Details:
- Location: San Jose, CA 95120.
- Position: Live-In Senior Caregiver.
- Schedule: Live-in arrangement; specific days and coverage schedule to be confirmed.
- Start Date: To be determined, upon client's discharge home.
- Care Type: Senior Care / Personal Care / Companionship.
- Caregiver Preference: Filipino-speaking caregivers preferred.
About the Client:
Our client is an 81-year-old woman who requires attentive and compassionate assistance with daily living activities. She has experienced a decline in mobility following a previous brain injury and is currently using a walker.
She needs a caregiver who is patient, experienced, and comfortable assisting with personal care, mobility, and daily routines while promoting her comfort, dignity, and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide incontinence care and assist with diaper changes as needed.
- Offer standby assistance with mobility, walking, and transfers.
- Assist with repositioning and getting in and out of bed as needed.
- Prepare meals appropriate for the client's dietary needs, including soft foods and bite-sized portions.
- Provide meal assistance and monitor eating and hydration.
- Offer companionship, reassurance, and emotional support.
- Provide gentle reminders and assistance with daily routines.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment.
- Observe and report any changes in the client's condition to the family and care coordination team.
Qualifications:
- Active California Home Care Aide (HCA) registration.
- At least 1–2 years of professional senior caregiving experience.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification.
- Recent TB clearance.
- Experience with mobility limitations, incontinence care, and personal care assistance.
- Experience supporting seniors with neurological conditions or cognitive challenges is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills, patience, and a compassionate approach to care.
- Comfortable working in a live-in caregiving arrangement.
