Job Details:


• Work evening and night shifts with 12-hour and 8-hour shifts as needed
• Shift times: 3:00 PM - 3:30 AM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float to UW at East Madison Hospital Emergency Department as needed
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Work in a high acuity emergency department seeing approximately 200 patients per day across 67 treatment spaces
• Two years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last 3 years required
• Travel experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Wisconsin RN or Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC
• Must pass a Telemetry test prior to start with the following criteria met within two attempts:
- Adult Exam: 100% identification of lethal rhythms (ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole), no incorrect answers on 3rd degree heart block questions, passing score of 80% or higher
- Pediatric Exam: Identification of ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole, and sinus bradycardia, passing score of 80% or higher
• If telemetry exam is failed on the second attempt, a certificate of completion of a cardiac interpretation review course must be submitted before a third attempt is assigned; assignment will be cancelled if the exam is not passed after three attempts
• Travelers located within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
