Work Environment\n In your role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will primarily work remotely, utilizing secure telehealth platforms that enhance accessibility for clients. Our outpatient office, located in Islip, New York, serves as a collaborative workspace for in-person meetings, training, and team engagement activities. Our team is composed of interdisciplinary professionals including psychiatrists, social workers, and support staff, creating a comprehensive network aimed at client success. Key Responsibilities\n \n Conduct detailed client assessments, utilizing standardized instruments and clinical interviews to evaluate mental health status and emotional well-being. \n Develop, implement, and periodically review individualized treatment plans that address each client's unique needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals. \n Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, encompassing diverse modalities such as individual therapy, family counseling, and group therapy sessions. \n Monitor clients' progress through regular follow-ups and therapeutic review sessions; adjust treatment plans as necessary to reflect changes in needs or circumstances. \n Provide crisis intervention support during acute emotional distress, ensuring that clients receive timely and appropriate care. \n Maintain meticulous and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA and other relevant laws, ensuring all documentation is complete and current. \n Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to facilitate comprehensive and coordinated care, sharing vital insights about client progress and care strategies. \n Stay informed about advances in mental health treatments and best practices through ongoing education and research engagement. \n Participate in regular clinical supervision meetings and training programs designed to enhance your therapeutic skills and professional development. \n Adhere to ethical standards and licensing requirements set forth by relevant professional boards and organizations. \n Patient Population / Client Focus\n You will work with a diverse client population, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and other mental health challenges. Your compassionate and client-centered approach will help empower them on their journey towards healing and self-improvement, fostering resilience and healthy coping strategies. Qualifications\n \n A master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required. \n Possession of an active and unrestricted state licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (e.g., LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, LCSW-R). \n Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills to identify mental health issues effectively. \n Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect empathetically with clients. \n A passion for mental health, underscored by empathy, patience, and a commitment to enhancing client well-being. \n A proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting. \n A comprehensive understanding of the ethical guidelines and legal parameters that govern mental health services. \n A strong commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning within the field. \n Preferred Experience\n \n A minimum of three years of relevant clinical experience in mental health counseling or therapy is required, with a proven track record of client success. \n Experience with teletherapy and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus. \n Compensation and Benefits\n We offer a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience, alongside opportunities for performance-based bonuses.
