We are looking for a Production Forms Designer to support the creation and refinement of customer-facing insurance documents and branded materials in West Des Moines, Iowa. This Long-term Contract position focuses on producing accurate, compliant, and visually consistent forms, policyholder communications, and marketing collateral while working closely with cross-functional partners. The ideal candidate brings strong design execution, excellent proofreading ability, and a solid understanding of how to balance usability, brand standards, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and update policy forms, customer correspondence, and supporting print or digital materials with a strong focus on clarity, usability, and visual consistency.
• Revise brochures, flyers, and related creative assets using Adobe InDesign and other Adobe Creative Suite tools under established production design direction.
• Build and maintain fillable PDF documents in Adobe Acrobat, including properly structured field naming to support accurate data entry and form functionality.
• Partner with forms stakeholders, legal teams, and compliance contacts to help ensure documents align with regulatory expectations and state filing requirements.
• Contribute to the planning and rollout of new or revised forms by coordinating with project managers, business owners, and production design leadership.
• Review files for content issues, layout problems, and areas of customer confusion, then recommend and apply practical improvements.
• Research competitor materials and summarize relevant findings to inform form design decisions and overall document effectiveness.
• Manage incoming requests through the project tracking system, confirm project details with requestors, and maintain timely status updates through completion.
• Prepare final files for print or electronic distribution, organize project assets according to established file management practices, and help resolve design or compliance concerns with internal teams.• At least 2 years of related experience in production design, forms design, document layout, or a similar field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Hands-on proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator, along with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Macintosh-based environments.
• Demonstrated ability to create, edit, and proofread clear, effective content with strong command of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and standard written English.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines, adjust priorities quickly, and keep work moving within scope and schedule.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with careful attention to detail in regulated or high-accuracy documents.
• Understanding of branding, typography, and layout principles across print and digital formats.
• Experience in insurance, annuities, financial services, web forms, or print vendor coordination is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional partners and tailor documents for specific audiences and business needs.
