Responsibilities The analyst will work under the general direction of the Program and Project Supervisor, collaborating with other Energy Division groups to ensure consistency across programs and policy. Core duties include: Lead the development, maintenance, and administrative oversight of DGStats to support CPUC’s priority of promoting energy affordability and clean energy access. Refine the vision and direction for the DGStats platform and ensure data quality, comprehensiveness, and user needs. Scope and implement improvements and upgrades to the website, distributed generation datasets, and IOU interconnection applications; conduct prioritization analyses to determine implementation order. Manage outgoing and incoming data requests and the technical vendor, identifying cost‑effective solutions. Hold investor‑owned utilities and vendors accountable for implementing fixes and improvements. Participate in policy discussions and proceedings involving DGStats, DER data, data privacy/security, and interconnections. Conduct original research on complex technical problems, manage work products, organize stakeholder meetings and workshops, summarize policy proposals, assist Administrative Law Judges with record development, and conduct legislative analysis on proposed bills. Qualifications Applicants should have experience in project management, data management, and policy analysis relevant to public utilities. Demonstrated ability to manage technical vendors, conduct stakeholder engagement, and perform detailed research and legislative analysis is preferred.
