Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care for labor and delivery patients, including initial assessment, care planning, implementation of interventions, and ongoing evaluation of progress.
- Coordinate, manage, and delegate patient care to a multidisciplinary team while ensuring patient safety and adherence to care protocols.
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, respond to emergencies, and participate in obstetric procedures as required.
- Document assessments, plans, interventions, and outcomes clearly in the medical record; ensure timely communication with the care team and family.
- Promote patient- and family-centered care through education and support before, during, and after delivery.
- Maintain standards of nursing practice and comply with infection control, safety, and privacy policies.

Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to perform professional nursing functions in a labor and delivery setting
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills in a high-acuity obstetric environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration with patients, families, and the health care team
- Flexibility to work 12-hour night shifts in a travel assignment and adapt to rotating schedules
- Ability to adhere to Standards of Nursing Practice and unit protocols
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and compassion
