Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (e.g., PTCB or equivalent) as required by state regulations.
• Experience with order entry and prescription filling in a pharmacy setting.
• Basic knowledge of pharmacy operations and medication safety protocols.
• Ability to operate fax machines and other office equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in both hospital and retail pharmacy environments.
• Advanced certification or specialized training in sterile compounding.
• Familiarity with pharmacy management software and electronic health records.
• Strong communication skills and demonstrated reliability in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately enter prescription orders into the pharmacy system and verify patient information.
• Fill and label prescriptions following established protocols and safety standards.
• Operate and maintain fax machines and other communication tools to coordinate with healthcare providers.
• Perform sterilization procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Assist pharmacists in inventory management and restocking medications.
• Provide courteous and respectful service to patients and healthcare professionals.
• Ensure compliance with hospital and retail pharmacy regulations and sterility requirements.
• Maintain detailed records of prescriptions and pharmacy activities for auditing and quality control.
