Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel Physical Therapist with a minimum of 2 years of hospital inpatient experience for a 13-week assignment in an inpatient rehabilitation unit in Richmond, VA.
Details
- Inpatient rehabilitation unit located within the main hospital building
- 44-bed unit staffed by 10 OT/PT teams, 3 speech therapists, and 1 tech
- Patient ratio of 4:1
- Patient population includes stroke and neurological rehabilitation cases
- Procedures include manual therapy for neuro re-education, therapeutic exercise, functional activity, neuromuscular re-education, self-care, and functional e-stim
- Equipment includes Sara Lifts, ceiling lifts, Bioness, and Diego systems
- Documentation via Meditech Expanse
- Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with rotating weekends
- May float to the acute hospital if rehab census is low
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent hospital inpatient experience required
- Experience in stroke evaluation and treatment required
- Inpatient rehab experience preferred
- Active PT license required if applicable
- Must have clinical experience within the last 6 months in the PT role
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required (two references required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
Additional Information
- Facility holds Joint Commission Stroke Certification
- Candidates are expected to utilize AIDET communication framework and immediate service recovery practices
- Preferred dress code is black scrub bottoms with a royal blue top
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
