Surgical Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Intensive Care Unit team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients in critical conditions, manage medical equipment, and work closely with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit.
• Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as prescribed.
• Coordinate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Manage patient ratios ranging from 1:5 to 1:7.
• Complete necessary charting using EPIC.
• Participate in weekend shifts and holiday rotations as required.
• Float to other units as needed, including rehabilitation units.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid RN license in the state of Pennsylvania.
• 2 years of clinical experience in a Surgical Intensive Care Unit preferred.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• Experience with EPIC charting is required.
• Prior charge nurse experience is preferred.
