Hematology/Oncology Physician

Mercy Hospital Joplin Joplin, MO ( 242 licensed beds) Nearest Airport: Joplin Regional Airport (JLN), 6 miles from the hospital

Specialty: Internal Medicine Hematology & Oncology
Coverage Dates: ASAP ongoing (possibly 9 months)
FTE Needed: 1 FTE (will consider 2 PT providers)
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m.; 24-hour weekend call with 1 2 night call encounters and daily clinic patient encounters
Setting: Hospital inpatient and outpatient mixed practice
Call: 24-hour weekend call; provider expected to respond within 15 minutes when on call
Patient Cases/Procedures: Bread-and-butter Hem/Onc consults, follow-ups, and medical oncology care; Blood & Marrow Transplants (BMT) and Bone Marrow Biopsies (BMB) preferred but not required
Support Staff: Access to surgery, radiology, cardiology, emergency department consult support
EMR: Epic
Credentialing Timeframe: 0 30 days
