Registered Nurse - MS Stroke Stepdown

Schedule

This is a night shift position, working from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM.

Job Description

Join our dynamic team on the MS Stroke Stepdown unit, where you will provide high-quality patient care to adults with various conditions, including stroke, altered mental status, renal dialysis, COPD, CHF, and more. You will be working in a 64-bed unit equipped with specialty equipment such as IV pumps and feeding tubes.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients with stroke and related medical conditions.
• Monitor vital signs and assess patient status.
• Implement care plans and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Assist with patient activities of daily living as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, with a focus on Medical-Surgical nursing and stroke stepdown care.
• Active RN license in New York.
• Current AHA BLS certification and NIHSS certification (to be obtained prior to start).
• Documentation of travel nursing experience.
• EMR experience, specifically with EPIC.
• Current NURSYS report for license verification.
