Base pay range $54,080.00/yr - $61,443.00/yr Direct message the job poster from Medix We are seeking a Patient Access Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations across two smaller acute care facilities. This leader will be responsible for coordinating patient registration, emergency room intake, lab access, and medical records support. The role requires the ability to work independently and rotate between facilities each week (e.g., 2-3 day split schedule). This role directly supervises a total of 15 employees and is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with 50-60 ER patients seen during peak 4-hour windows. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate daily workflow to ensure optimal team performance and coverage Delegate responsibilities, monitor productivity, and provide coaching and performance feedback Train and orient new team members, ensuring quality and compliance with all regulatory and organizational policies Collaborate with other departmental Supervisors and Managers to align operational strategies Identify and resolve workflow issues and service bottlenecks to enhance patient throughput and satisfaction Attend and lead staff meetings, contribute to department improvements, and monitor key performance indicators Ensure consistent and accurate handling of medical records, emergency room patient access, and lab check-ins Required Qualifications: 1+ year of leadership experience in Patient Access (Supervisor level or higher required) Hospital or acute care experience in Patient Access Strong understanding of insurance programs: Commercial, Managed Care, Medicare/Medicaid, etc. Proven leadership and analytical decision-making skills Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities Must be reliable, able to work independently, and comfortable navigating difficult conversations with confidence Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Temporary Job function Health Care Provider Industries Hospitals and Health Care Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Medix by 2x Inferred from the description for this job Medical insurance Vision insurance Get notified about new Patient Access Supervisor jobs in Litchfield Park, AZ .
