Senior Business Analyst Information Technology (IT) Des Moines , IA Contract Sep 23, 2026 Senior Business Analyst Seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a large-scale modernization initiative focused on Medicaid , Integrated Eligibility Systems , Cloud modernization , data integration , and application modernization . This role will help establish a modern enterprise data and integration foundation while supporting agile delivery, governance, requirements management, and stakeholder engagement. Responsibilities Create, maintain, and present user stories , acceptance criteria , design documents , and demo expectations Gather, document, trace, prioritize, and manage business requirements Analyze existing business processes and recommend improvements Facilitate communication between business stakeholders , technical teams , and project leadership Conduct data analysis , research, and problem-solving activities Develop process maps and future-state solutions Support Agile/Scrum delivery teams Participate in testing activities and validate outcomes Assist with project governance, reporting, and documentation Collaborate across business and IT teams to deliver enterprise-wide value Required Skills & Experience 8+ years working on large, complex IT systems 8+ years of requirements gathering , user story creation , acceptance criteria definition , business analysis , and stakeholder facilitation 8+ years of experience with SDLC methodologies 8+ years managing stakeholder expectations and priorities 8+ years working within formal project governance frameworks 8+ years managing multiple projects and competing priorities 8+ years using Microsoft technologies and platforms 6+ years working in an Agile environment 5+ years with Azure DevOps (ADO) , TFS , VSTS , Jira , or RTC 5+ years of Data Mapping and Data Modeling 5+ years working with SQL Server Management Studio or other relational databases 3+ years with information management practices , data architecture , or data modeling standards Bachelor's degree in Business , Management Information Systems , or related field (or equivalent experience) Senior Business Analyst Location: Iowa Duration: Long-term Contract Rate: $47-51p/hr Overview Seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a large-scale modernization initiative focused on Medicaid , Integrated Eligibility Systems , Cloud modernization , data integration , and application modernization .
