Senior Maintenance Technician

The Opportunity:

Avantor is looking for a dedicated and experienced 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician . The Maintenance Technician installs, maintains, and repairs manufacturing equipment and fixtures. They conduct general maintenance activities primarily on machinery and related equipment, maintain repair and maintenance records, troubleshoot problems and escalate the most complex issues.

This role will be a full-time position base out of St. Louis, MO site.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2p-10:30p with training on 1st shift for the first 90 days.

What we're looking for:

• Education:
• High school completion or equivalent GED. Technical school certifications preferred.
• Experience:
• 3 years applicable direct experience in a similar position.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems required.
• Additional Qualifications:
• Interpersonal and communication skills are important.
• Ability to use personal computers, and related applications.

How you will thrive and create an impact:

• Maintains building electrical system and heating and cooling equipment.
• Performs maintenance or general carpentry on items such as doors, floors, docks, overhead doors, roof downspouts, product racks, materials handling equipment, etc.
• Completes required reports when maintenance tasks are concluded.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is exposed to an industrial warehouse environment. The associate works near moving mechanical machinery and noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The job requires working in heights, exposure to changes in temperature, driving equipment, and maybe exposed to dust, fumes, or gases.
